数々の代表曲が豪華なゲスト達と演奏されていきます。オーケストラも入っていて、それがとてもセンスのいいアレンジで絡んできます。誰もが彼らの音楽を愛し、そして楽しんでいます。いかにザバンドが70年代において重要なバンドであったのかが伺いしれます。そして最後の I Shall Be Releasedではボブディランを中心として全員で大合唱は感動のフィナーレとなります。
このコンサートの模様とは別にこのサントラの為に作曲されたTheme From The Last Waltzが又とても美しく素晴らしいのです。イタリアのジャンボリーのようなワルツは哀愁もあり、喜びもありの人生の1ページを綴ったような音楽です。演奏も歌も最高のパフォーマンスが堪能出来ます。彼らの最高傑作は実はこのアルバムなのかもしれません。これにてザバンドは解散となりますが、後にロビーロバートソン抜きで再結成されます。ただそこではたいした作品は残しておりませんので、ここまでが彼らの歴史だと思ってかまいません。そしてこのアルバムこそはロックの歴史がたっぷりと詰まった名盤なのであります。
